I have a windows 2000 i recently put a disk and it started doing some clicking sounds how can i fix

I reboot it once and it worked but i it started clicking again my friend says it is a virus where can i download a program to delete everything of the computer so that i can just upload the reboot disk.

clicking is the sound of the computer reading the floppy. does the green light stay on, or is the sound repetetive? first verify you are able to read information on the disk under my computer. if not, right click the a: drive and attempt to format the disk, then see if you can read it. don't be so quick to blame a virus for everything. could also be a bad floppy drive.

You can format your hard drive during the restore process.
Clicking sounds normally indicate hardware failure.
