How can recovery the windows 2000 server administrator password?

There are boot disk images available for download that you burn to a CD and then boot the computer from. They will allow you to change the Administrator password. Please note that you cannot retrieve what the current password is however.

Not an easy task, especially if the drive is encrypted or has encrpted files.

on Win2K Pro machines (Never on Win 2000 Server though).

I would only use it as a LAST RESORT and keep your fingers crossed, as if it writes to NFTS incorrectly you could loose DATA. First try backing things up (use NTFS DOS) if needed first.
