If I reformat with Windows 2000 Pro, will I still have NT?

The new Installation of Windows 2000 OS will actually overwrite Windows NT. There are more features in 2000 than NT. So, you need not worry thinking if you loose any existing features.

you can make a new partition for windows 2000 and still keep NT on there but i think 2000 is built on NT technology...
Windows 2000 is considered Windows NT 5, for your information.
